Associate Degree Nursing in Weatherford College
Registered nurses prepared at the associate degree level possess a high degree of technical nursing skills and apply scientific principles to all nursing care. Graduates of an associate degree nursing program may continue their education at a four-year university to earn a bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
The Associate Degree Nursing program is a curriculum comprised of classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning experiences. The course of study is comprised of 70 or 71 semester credit hours and is designed to prepare the graduate as a beginning generalist practitioner, functioning as a provider of care, coordinator of care, and as a member of the profession.
Weatherford College (WC) is officially the College of Weatherford Parker County Junior College District is a community college located in Weatherford, Texas, with campuses in nearby Decatur and Mineral Wells. With a history of continuous operation as a two-year college dating back to 1921 (after and operated continuously since 1876 in some way), claims the toilet under the former community college in Texas.
