Accelerated BSN in Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences
TCU Nursing College, enabled by a trust fund established by the late Dr. Charles Houston Harris, was organized as an academic unit of TCU in 1946. TCU Nursing is accredited by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
Admission Criteria
- GPA of 3.00 or greater (in either undergraduate degree or nursing prerequisites)
- A baccalaureate degree in any field, other than nursing (e.g., BA, BBA, BFA, BS)
- Must have completed required departmental prerequisites
Accelerated BSN Track
- BSN degree provides a well grounding in practice through partnerships with regional health care systems
- Offers full-time study over four consecutive semesters (15-months: summer-fall- spring-summer)
- Includes a professional nursing residency during the last semester
- Builds on and reinforces a broad foundation of liberal studies
