Fairfield University School of Nursing RN Programs
Fairfield University is a private, undergraduate co-education and university-level master is located in Fairfield, Conn., near New England to the United States. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1942 and is now one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. RN to BS Programs in FU Nursing School
The RN to BSN in Nursing program individualizes learning experiences for completion of the degree. The sequence of courses for registered nurse students is designed to build on existing knowledge and skills, and integrates a professional, family-oriented, research-based, community-focused perspective. The Fairfield University School of Nursing has partnerships with the Schools of Nursing at Norwalk Community College and St. Vincent's College. These unique programs provide seamless transition from the associate to bachelor's degree in nursing, and grant 34 credits in advanced placement nursing.
RN students may earn advanced placement in the nursing major for a maximum of 30 credits. Advanced placement is awarded for most students through the articulation agreement among nursing programs. Occasionally RN credit is awarded through challenge exams or portfolio assessment. The RN to B.S. program individualizes learning experiences for completion of the degree.

Humanities: 12 courses distributed as follows:
* English composition (3 credits)
* English literature (3 credits)
* History of Western civilization (3 credits)
* History elective (3 credits)
* Visual and performing arts (2 courses totaling 6 credits) or two modern language courses at the intermediate level
* Philosophy
* Ethics
* Religious Studies
* 3 elective courses chosen from classics, communication, or any of the above disciplines
General Electives:
Social Science: 4 courses (12 credits) from at least two disciplines as follows:
* Anthropology
* Sociology
* Psychology
* Political Science
* Economics
Math and Science: 4 courses distributed as follows:
* Science (3-4 credits)
* Science or math (2 courses totaling 6-8 credits)
