Central Michigan University (also known as CMU) is a coeducational public university located in Pleasant Mount in the U.S. state Michigan. Founded in 1892, Central Michigan University is one of the 100 largest public universities in the nation and fourth in Michigan, with over 20,000 students on its campus in Mount Pleasant and 7000 registered online and more than 60 locations worldwide. CMU offers 200 programs of study at undergraduate, masters, doctorate and specialized, including nationally recognized programs in entrepreneurship, journalism, music, audiology, teacher training, psychology and physician assistant. CMU offers include also the only major weather in Michigan and the concentration of BA than microscopy nation. CMU has also established a regular College of Medicine, opened in 2012.CMU competed in the NCAA Division I Mid-American Conference men and seven women from nine sports.
